Telehealth Services Notice

Telehealth Services Notice

Telehealth allows eligible patients to communicate remotely with licensed healthcare professionals using electronic communications technology.

Telehealth may be used for evaluation, consultation, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up care, medication management, and other healthcare services when clinically and legally appropriate.

Location Matters

Healthcare services are considered to occur in the state where the patient is physically located at the time of the telehealth appointment.

Patients must accurately disclose their physical location at the beginning of each telehealth encounter.

Telehealth services are available only when an Asōka MedSpa healthcare professional is legally authorized to provide the requested service in the patient's location.

Limitations of Telehealth

Telehealth may not be appropriate for every medical condition.
Your healthcare provider may determine that:
• Laboratory testing is required;
• An in-person physical examination is required;
• Additional diagnostic testing is required;
• Another healthcare professional should evaluate you; or
• Telehealth is not appropriate for your condition.

Prescriptions

A telehealth consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Medication will be prescribed only when a licensed healthcare professional determines after an appropriate medical evaluation that the medication is clinically appropriate and legally permitted.

Technology and Privacy

Asōka MedSpa uses healthcare technology intended to protect patient privacy. Nevertheless, electronic communication carries potential risks, including technical failure, interrupted connections, unauthorized access, or other technology-related issues.

Patients should participate from a private location whenever possible.

Emergencies

Telehealth is not an emergency service.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care.
